Dobby Hat

When a friend’s children wanted to become Harry Potter characters for Halloween, I knew I had to help make it happen. Dobby is a beloved character from the books and can be a simple costume to make – all it takes is this hat and, depending on the size of the child, a sacrificial pillowcase or bedsheet.

I had no idea how popular the hat would be when I first created it, but was pleasantly surprised when orders began to outstrip my ability to create them! Each September and October, you’ll see smoke coming off my knitting needles as I work furiously to make sure that children (and their parents too!) will have the hat they need to portray their favorite house-elf when they go trick or treating.
